For school heads, boards & SDAs

Protect student results from pressures outside the classroom.

Stress, grief, family strain and digital life walk into every classroom. The School Mental Wealth System helps you see it earlier, prepare for it and connect families to real help, without turning your school into a clinic.

The problem

Something else walks into the classroom.

Students arrive tired, distracted or anxious. Behaviour shifts without clear cause. Results drop without explanation. Not because teaching failed.

Exam pressure

Anxiety that peaks at predictable points in the school year.

Grief & life events

Loss and change at home that reach class before the school knows.

Family & money strain

Household pressure that doesn’t stop at the school gate.

Digital & social pressure

Bullying, screens and online harm that follow children in.

Silent drift

Students who keep functioning while quietly losing focus.

Staff carrying the load

Teachers absorbing strain far outside their role.

1 in 7

adolescents worldwide lives with a mental disorder: about 166 million young people.

US$387.2bn

is lost in human potential each year through poor child and adolescent mental health.

The middle

is where most children are: not in visible crisis, but not fully okay either.

Figures: UNICEF, The State of the World’s Children 2021.

The gap

The risk is big. The usual response is small.

A school will stop everything for a fire drill. The more common threat is quieter, and it arrives every day before the first lesson.

The School Mental Wealth System

From a topic to a performance system.

You don’t need more effort inside the classroom. You need a way to engage what affects outcomes before it gets there.

  1. See where pressure is hitting

A short, structured check maps where performance, behaviour and engagement are slipping, and the home, economic, social or academic patterns behind it.

    Hot-Button Audit
  2. Prepare for predictable pressure

Journals, prompts and routines help students, staff and parents get ready for exams, transitions and other peak periods.

    Red Sea Moments
  3. Surface issues through school life

Simple prompts built into sports days, AGMs, pick-up times and parent groups reduce the silent carry-over from home.

    Park & Reflect
  4. Create visible first contacts

Selected people are trained as non-clinical first-contact points, so everyone knows where to go.

    Green Badge
  5. Connect to outside support

Defined pathways to vetted preventative, clinical, expert and public support. The school does not diagnose or treat.

    The WE Alliance

All pupil-facing support runs through approved school channels, with safeguards and consent. We work through your safeguarding and counselling structures, not around them.

The whole school community

Everyone carries a part. Nobody carries all of it.

Each group does a small, clear thing, so the load is spread rather than concentrated on a few staff.

School head

Protect outcomes and get earlier warning, without clinical responsibility.

Board

Treat invisible strain as a governance, performance and risk issue.

SDA & parent body

Support the school with a plug-and-play model, not a heavy volunteer programme.

Parents

Spot early signs, prepare for pressure and know where to turn. Equipped, not blamed.

Counsellor & pastoral lead

Strengthened, not replaced, with clearer pathways and more first contacts.

Teachers

Less avoidable behavioural fallout and less load carried outside their role.

What changes

So your results are no longer quietly undermined.

Steadier performance

Student results become more stable through the year.

Fewer surprises

Fewer issues disrupt learning unexpectedly.

Earlier parent engagement

Parents engage before things go wrong.

Less exposure for leaders

Fewer unpredictable drops in outcomes.

The first step

Founding 50 Mental Wealth Schools

  1. Issue mapping

We identify the top two or three issues affecting your outcomes.

  2. Stakeholder path

Who else should be involved: SDA, board, pastoral lead or parent communications.

  3. Context shaping

The system is shaped around your pressures, parents and existing structures.

No implementation obligation and no full programme approval today. A place keeps your spot in next term’s cohort if fit is confirmed.

We build better ships, not wish for calmer seas.

Common concerns

What heads and boards ask first.

We are not clinicians. Are you asking us to become one?

No. That is exactly why the system exists. The school does not diagnose or treat. It gets a way to see earlier, prepare better, respond appropriately and route people to the right support.

Does this replace our counsellor or pastoral structures?

No. It strengthens them. It works through your existing safeguarding, counselling and approval channels and connects them to wider preventative, clinical, expert and public-system pathways.

We already do talks and assemblies.

Most schools do, and that helps. But awareness on its own rarely changes behaviour. This system adds early identification, preparation, repeated touchpoints and real routes to help.

This sounds like extra work.

It should reduce unmanaged work, not add to it. Green Badge capacity, clear pathways and Alliance access spread the load instead of concentrating it on a few staff.

Parents will not engage.

The system does not depend on big meetings or turnout. Parents are often already dealing with these issues. The aim is to make it easy, relevant and safe for them to act, equipping parents rather than blaming them.

Could this create demand we cannot meet?

That is why pathways matter. This system pairs awareness with preventative routes, first-contact capacity, clinical support and links to public services.

This sounds too big for us.

It is layered. You plug into it rather than carry all of it. The first step is small: a fact-finding conversation, your top pressure points and a waitlist place.

Is there a school membership fee?

No. The school model is designed to work without a school membership fee. Any specialist consultations, training or additional services are scoped and priced separately before you commit.
